Jianhua Guo
Jianhua Guo is a Senior Research Fellow at Advanced Water Management Centre (AWMC), The University of Queensland. He received his PhD on Environmental Engineering in 2011 from the Harbin Institute of Technology, China. After his PhD, he worked for two years as an Assistant Professor at Beijing University of Technology. In June 2013, he joined AWMC to conduct his Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) project. Recently, he was awarded ARC Future Fellowship in 2017. He has been working on the interface among process engineering, environmental microbiology and environmental biotechnology. He focuses on the effective integration of these disciplines to develop innovative and sustainable technological solutions to achieve high-levels of emerging contamination removal from water or wastewater. He has to date published over 80 fully refereed journal papers including two papers in The ISME Journal. His h-index is 26, with ~2,800 citations. He has won $2.5M in government, industry and university research funding since 2011.
